Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene lashed out at fellow Republicans for being too "terrified" of speaking out against President Donald Trump. Referring to his threats of wiping out a civilization in Iran, Greene claimed that any Republican or member of Congress who calls themselves Christian can't stand by those words. Greene, who, like several Democrats, demanded that the administration invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office, claimed Republicans were cowards who are afraid of a mean Truth Social post coming their way from the president.

The former Rep. from Georgia, who broke from Trump last year over frustration with the Republican leadership and a public fallout with the president over the release of the Epstein files, appeared on CNN’s "The Situation Room" to talk about the U.S.-Iran ceasefire and the president's behaviour. Earlier, after Trump issued threats to destroy civilian structures in Iran, Greene called his behaviour "absolute madness and evil". When the host Wolf Blitzer asked why she was so aligned with Democrats, Greene clarified that she was still a Republican and none of her positions had changed. "I think I’m one of the few honest republicans willing to talk about it," she expressed.

"Everyone else is just afraid to speak out against the president because they’re terrified of having an ugly Truth Social post dropped on them or a primary challenge like what’s happening to Thomas Massie," she said, referring to the Republican Congressman from Kentucky who has come under fire from Trump during his re-election campaign. "That’s what other Republicans are terrified of, so they won’t speak up. They’re cowards," she added. Greene went on to call out the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, questioning his stand given his religious beliefs.  "I really have to call out the speaker, Mike Johnson, who calls himself a Christian. I don’t know how he can stand by those words," she said. "Any Christian serving in Congress, in the Senate, or in the administration really needs to take pause and ask themselves: as a Christian, do you really support the president calling for the annihilation—calling to wipe out—an entire civilization of people?" Greene asked, adding that that's not what Christianity is about at all.

Greene continues to call out Trump's support for Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu over the military strikes in Lebanon. While urging for a complete ceasefire in the Middle East, Greene recently pointed out that the war will cost Republicans the upcoming midterm elections in November, and nobody but Trump will be to blame. Appearing on Politico's "The Conversation" with Dasha Burns, Greene claimed that Republicans will "definitely get slaughtered" in the elections and lose the House and potentially the Senate as well.

She further claimed it was a fragile ceasefire agreement as the Strait of Hormuz still appears to be closed, with Israel continuing to bomb Lebanon, with Beirut and Iran retaliating with missile and drone strikes. The ceasefire does appear shaky, as Israel refuses to acknowledge Lebanon as a part of the two-week agreement while both Iran and the mediator of the deal, Pakistan, claim Beirut was included, CNN reported.
