Bernie Sanders has always been a harsh critic of Donald Trump, and he has never shied away from calling out the President in a public forum. Recently, the Senator from Vermont launched a scathing attack on the President, calling him a pathological liar who only cares about his wealth and power. "We are living, I think most people know, with a president who is a pathological liar. He is an authoritarian. What concerns him most is wealth and power. I think he has very little empathy for his fellow human beings. And…it is extremely dangerous that a man like that is President of the United States," Sanders wrote in a post on X.

Sanders has also been a vocal critic of the President's decision to attack Iran, much like several of his Democratic colleagues. "The US is spending more than $1 trillion on the military for the first time in history. That apparently isn't enough. Now, the Pentagon wants $200 billion more for an illegal war in Iran. The answer is NO. We need to invest in the American people, not endless war," he wrote in a recent post on X. The Vermont Senator has long been a critic of the Trump administration's close relationship with Israel, especially after the Middle Eastern country's military exercise in Gaza. Sanders claimed that giving thousands of weapons to a country that committed countless war crimes went against American law. He also claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted a war with Iran for 40 years, and finally got it with an American President willing to aid that effort.

"To give another 20,000 bombs to a country that committed genocide in Gaza happens to be among many other things, forget the moral issue, happens to be in violation of American law. You don't sell arms to countries that violate international law and human rights. Clearly, Israel has done that," he said in an interview. The war in Iran is in its fourth week now, and despite the President announcing a five-day pause on hostilities, there have been no certain signals of the conflict subsiding anytime soon.

Apart from the Iran war, Sanders has focused on several local issues to justify his criticism of Trump, including one that saw him go after billionaire Jeff Bezos. As per a government release, Bezos is seeking to raise $100 billion to replace American employees with robots in order to cut costs. The Vermont Senator has demanded an in-person explanation from the Amazon boss. "In my view, we must demand that Mr. Bezos come before our committee to explain to the American people why he believes it's a good idea to replace millions of American workers with robots," he wrote. "We need to understand what will happen to these workers. Will Mr. Bezos be providing a generous severance package for them? Will these displaced workers be able to maintain their health care benefits? Will they be able to receive a decent retirement plan? Or will they simply be thrown out on the street in order to make Mr. Bezos even richer?"
