Spencer Hakimian mocks Trump and Musk over 'family values' post

Investor anf Founder at Tolou Capital Management, Spencer Hakimian slammed President Donald Trump and the world's first trillionaire, Elon Musk, on X, claiming that "2 men who fathered 19 children with 7 different women" were not in any position to "lecture" the American public about family values. Musk has raised concerns in the past about a declining global population, urging people to have children, while a large part of President Trump's supporters and even the Republican Party are seen emphasizing traditional family values and declining birth rates.

According to a report in Inc., Musk had stated earlier that a declining birth rate was a bigger issue for the world than global warming. The report claims that one of the Tesla boss's biggest concerns with regard to a declining birth rate is that in the future, fewer younger people would be able to support current living standards. The Tesla boss has fathered 14 children with four women, and shares an amicable relationship with most of them. Meanwhile, President Trump has fathered five children with three women.

Musk has long raised concerns about the declining birth rate in America and the world. Being one of the world's richest men, he has also taken certain steps to ensure that his lineage is vast. As per a Rolling Stone article published in 2024, the Tesla boss, at the time, used to seek out women willing to have children, sometimes even offering semen to friends and acquaintances. He had also said that he could offer the same to "a married couple he had met socially only a handful of times."

In 2022, the Tesla boss shared a Wall Street Journal report which stated that the birth rate in America had been below the sustainable level for 50 years, calling the two years prior a "demographic disaster." He also joked that he was "doing my part," citing his many children that Hakimian criticised. A major point of contention between Musk and the GOP, which prides itself on championing traditional family values, is that almost all of Musk's children had been conceived via in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Several Republicans, however, have spoken out against IVF, including Vice President J.D. Vance. But one point that they both seemingly agree upon is the issue of America's declining birth rate. The Vice President made it clear during a public event that one of the things he wanted most for the country was "more families and more babies." The Vice President recently welcomed a fourth child into his family, making him the first Vice President in 150 years to have a child while in office.

Trump, meanwhile, is no stranger to being criticized for his family affairs. His high-profile divorces and numerous rumored affairs are documented. According to Business Insider, 26 women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct going back to the 1970s. Just recently, author E. Jean Carroll was awarded more than $5 million by a court as she won a legal battle against Trump in which she accused him of sexual violence. He was also found guilty in 2024 for a $130,000 hush-money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, whom he allegedly had intimate relations with in 2016.
