James Talarico escalates Epstein allegations, claims Trump is 'right in the middle' of the controversy
In a fresh attack on Donald Trump, regarding the Epstein Files, Texas state Rep. James Talarico said Saturday that the President is "right in the middle" of the controversy. Appearing on 'Real Time With Bill Maher: Overtime', Talarico questioned the Department of Justice's role in failing to prosecute Trump, despite his name appearing thousands of times in the Epstein documents. Sharing a snippet of the interview in X, Talarico wrote, "QAnon thought Trump was going to take down the secret pedophile ring — but he's right in the middle of it."

He flew on Epstein’s private jet — and lied about it.
He wrote to Epstein about their “wonderful secret.”

"They thought Donald Trump was the one to take down this secret pedophile ring when he is mentioned 38,000 times in the Epstein files. He flew repeatedly on Epstein's private jet and then lied about it. He sent Epstein a happy birthday card with the picture of a naked woman talking about their 'wonderful secret'," Talarico says in the video, adding, "So the fact that QAnon thought that guy would take down the secret paedophile ring when he's right in the middle of it, I think, was clearly wrong."

Talarico, who is currently running for the U.S. Senate in Texas, appears to be using the Epstein files as a central pillar of his campaign, aiming to dismantle the "anti-trafficking" hero image often projected by President Trump's supporters. Democrats, including Talarico, have continued to pressure the DOJ and Attorney General Pam Bondi to hold every Epstein co-conspirator accountable for aiding and allowing the child sex trafficking racket, with many believing that the President's interactions with Jeffrey Epstein hold him liable to be investigated.

Talarico's latest allegations come on the heels of major evidentiary disclosures that have come to light after the DOJ released over 3.5 million documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. In December 2025, the DOJ released internal emails from 2020 citing flight records that suggest Trump traveled on Epstein's private jet at least eight times between 1993 and 1996, directly contradicting the President's 2024 campaign claims that he was "never" on the aircraft. Furthermore, the "wonderful secret" birthday card Talarico talked about features a hand-drawn sketch and a message from Trump calling Epstein a "pal" while wishing him "wonderful secrets" for his 50th birthday.

The political fallout has been intensified by what Talarico and other democrats describe as an administration-wide "cover-up." It should be mentioned that the Texas Representative's latest comments follow a high-profile controversy involving 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', where CBS reportedly pulled Talarico's interview from the broadcast due to a new FCC "equal time" guidance issued by Trump-appointed chairman Brendan Carr.
Corporate media executives are selling out the First Amendment to curry favor with corrupt politicians.

Talking about the censure in Bill Maher's show, Talarico said, "There is always an exception for late-night television shows like The Late Show, and now the Trump administration's FCC is going after these shows. To me, I think we should just use our common sense. Do we think the President is digging through the minutiae of FCC policies because he's concerned about the equal time rule and how it's applied, or is he going after shows that talk about him in a way that he doesn't like?" "They are the most powerful politicians and the most powerful media executives coming together to sell out the First Amendment," he added.
