He's 'a bad and stupid person' Former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh tears into President Trump
Former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh went scorched Earth on President Donald Trump, calling him "a bad and stupid person" surrounded by "equally bad and stupid people." Walsh, who turned from a vocal supporter of Trump in 2016 to a staunch critic, has long raised serious concerns about the character, competency, and moral fitness of the leader of the GOP, deeming him "unfit" for office. Among a series of X posts on Wednesday, Walsh, in his words, simplified his opinion on Trump.
In his post, Walsh described Trump as a stupid man who is dangerous and destructive to the entire world and the country. "It’s really very simple: Donald Trump is a really bad, stupid person, who’s surrounded himself with bad, stupid people, and together they are doing really bad, stupid things. It’s really very simple. But for America & the entire world, it’s also really dangerous & destructive," Walsh wrote. Similar comments have been shared by other prominent figures as well, including CIA Director John Brennan who recently called Trump a “pathological liar,” “incompetent,” and “deeply corrupt,” man while discussing his handling of the Iran War on MS Now's The Weeknight. Brennan claimed that Trump's actions are fuelling protests like the No Kings rallies, a campaign which has the strong support of Walsh as well.

On Wednesday, President Trump addressed the nation from the White House to share an update on the U.S. military operations in Iran dubbed Operation Epic Fury. While the president didn't provide a clear timeline on the end of the war, he shared that the conflict is expected to stretch for another two to three weeks, during which the U.S. will hit Tehran "extremely hard". He claimed the conflict is nearing completion, and all the cards are with the U.S. He went on to call the fluctuation in U.S. gas prices a temporary issue and claimed the country had never been more economically prepared to confront the challenges. However, Democratic leaders soon jumped on the conflicting claims, tearing into the discrepancies of Trump's speech. "This is why I didn’t watch Trump tonight, because everything he says is a lie," Walsh wrote in another post.
Why didn’t I watch Trump tonight? This is why I didn’t watch Trump tonight. Because everything he says is a lie. I value my time too much to listen to someone who I know is going to lie to me for, in this case, 24 minutes. https://t.co/9HLSheperO

Meanwhile, former Vice President Kamala Harris shared a pre-recorded video, also sharing that she wouldn't watch Trump as he would definitely claim victory in the war, which Americans did not want. “He has put American troops in harm’s way. Costs are rising by the day, and meanwhile, he has done nothing to address the needs of the people of America,” Harris said. Furthermore, U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla warned the consequences would be far-reaching, even after the conflict ends.

“With his poll numbers falling to record lows, Trump is now trying to cut and run with little to show for it. He started this unauthorized war with no clear or consistent justification, and the consequences of his choices won’t disappear when he walks away,” Sen. Padilla stated. Another member of the Democratic Party, Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Long Beach, called Trump "totally delusional" on his remarks about the U.S. economy being the strongest in history.
