Trump's brief stumble entering SUV fuels fresh questions about his health
In his second term in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump's health and fitness have repeatedly been called into question, and a recent viral video is escalating those concerns.
The clip, captured by Fox News, shows the President departing for Joint Base Andrews, where he boarded the new, Qatari-gifted Air Force One for a trip to North Dakota to mark the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
In the footage, Trump appears to struggle as he enters his SUV. After placing one foot inside the vehicle, the 80-year-old seemed to lose his footing, pausing for several seconds on one leg to regain his balance before finally making his way inside. He was followed into the vehicle by First Lady Melania Trump and his eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.

It did not take long for netizens to start resharing the clip, taking a dig at the President and questioning his fitness for office. "Donald Trump was seen struggling to enter a vehicle, trying to maintain his balance just to step his foot in," one user wrote on X, adding, "When is the media going to write books about HIS obvious decline?" Another user claimed that Trump's "biggest obstacle" was a car door and called for the declassification of his health reports.
This is not the first time the President's health has been called into question. Over the course of his second term in power, Trump has been accused of falling asleep at important events, including at an NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden and at White House events. Questions were also raised when, earlier this year, Trump struggled to tie a medal around the neck of a former service member.
Despite the intense scrutiny, President Trump and those inside his cabinet have maintained that he remains in good shape. Vice President J.D. Vance said that the President's health was "off the charts" good. "His focus, his energy, his constant grinding. I mean, the presidency is a crazy job. You're constantly having more than a dozen cabinet secretaries. You have every particular crisis that comes up," he said. Vance also claimed that he jokes with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about President Trump calling them at 2:30 in the morning.
"That's been my sense of the president is that he's constantly going...He's trying to make every single day count. So he's constantly pushing everybody to do as much as possible. I think he's in great health," Vance added. President Trump has also maintained that he has been in good health both physically and mentally, claiming that he has taken more cognitive tests than any President in history.
