Tiger Woods banned from driving Donald Trump's grandchildren: Report
Golfing legend Tiger Woods has reportedly been barred from driving the grandchildren of President Donald Trump following his Driving Under the Influence (DUI) arrest on Friday. Woods' Land Rover flipped onto its side after clipping a trailer he was trying to overtake in Jupiter Island, Florida. While Woods "blew triple zeroes" (0.000) on a breathalyzer test, confirming no alcohol was in his system, he refused to submit to a urine test. He has been charged with refusal to submit to a lawful test, along with destruction of public property and DUI.

Following his arrest, the New York Post reported that the Secret Service will not let the pro-golfer drive President Donald Trump's grandchildren, citing a source close to the Trump family. Woods has been in a public relationship with Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-wife; Trump Jr. and Vanessa share five children. The New York Post quoted the family insider as saying that there would be concern "if their kids weren't being protected by Secret Service" and that the agents "certainly not letting Tiger Woods" drive the kids. As per the report, members of the president's immediate family all enjoy around-the-clock federal protection, which extends until six months after he leaves office in 2029.
The incident has not sat well with Vanessa either. As per a Daily Mail report, she has asked the golfing legend to get things under control. The publication quoted a source close to the couple as saying, "It's a definite red flag, and she told him that he's going to get this sorted out, and that she's going to require that. He has to get things under control, or she's not going to stick around." Notably, this was Woods’ fourth major road incident, including a high-profile 2017 DUI arrest, where he was found asleep at the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz along a Florida roadway.

President Donald Trump, meanwhile, expressed sympathy for his "very close friend" Woods. "I feel so badly. He's got some difficulty. There was an accident and that's all I know. Very close friend of mine. He's an amazing person, amazing man. But some difficulty," Trump told reporters in Miami on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative Priority Summit. A longtime golfing enthusiast, President Trump has known and followed Woods for a long time, and in May 2019, bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom upon the 15-time major champion.
