'The people he endorsed are losing': Ana Navarro weighs in on Trump's California claims
President Donald Trump has claimed foul play in the California elections, the counting for which takes longer than in other states. While Trump believes that voter fraud is in play, political commentator Ana Navarro claimed that the only reason the President was so upset was that his endorsed candidates were not winning. Republican Spencer Pratt lost his second-place lead for the Los Angeles mayoral seat to Democrat Nithya Raman, and his chosen Republican candidate for Governor is also not likely to win.
"He (Trump) is furious that the people he endorsed are losing," Navarro said in an ABC program. "Getting the endorsement of Donald Trump in California is like being endorsed by Satan when a Cardinal wants to be elected Pope." She also claimed that people in California detested and loathed the President. Trump was not successful in winning the state in the 2024 Presidential election, losing by more than 3,000,000 votes.

On Monday, Trump claimed on Truth Social that it was "not possible" for his endorsed LA mayoral candidate to fall so far behind, given the early lead that he had. "Not possible for Spencer Pratt to have lost the L.A. runoffs after the big lead he had. 3rd World Nation. Rigged Elections!" he wrote. The President's allies in Congress have also expressed similar concerns surrounding whether voter fraud was being committed under the pretext of mail-in ballots.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise was questioned about this, and he expressed concerns about massive changes while counting ballots. "You have wide changes after election night in the result of an election, and for days and weeks later, they just keep finding ballots...until the election results change. Look, whether you can prove fraud or not, it does undermine voter integrity in the vote," he said during a press conference.
RAJU: The president keep saying the California election was rigged. What evidence have you seen to show there has been widespread fraud?

However, Trump's pick for California Governor, Steve Hilton, despite not leading the race, indicated that he had yet to see fraudulent practices in the counting, while acknowledging that he was not a fan of how long the process was taking. "There are so many things wrong with the system," he said in an interview on CNN. "We have been very vigilant. We are keeping an eye on it. We have got teams standing by and lawyers standing by… We've seen nothing that would give us cause to intervene."
Trump says voter fraud should land people in prison.

Agreed. And let's start with the politicians spreading election lies with the goal of illegally interfering with counting ballots.
In California, I just signed a law making that punishable with up to 3 years behind bars.…
Democrats, meanwhile, have hit out at the President for alleging voter fraud in California. Governor Gavin Newsom said that while those committing election fraud should be in prison, so should politicians with the goal of interfering with elections. He also revealed that he had signed a law in his state making it punishable with up to three years in prison. Ro Khanna, however, believes that slow counting in California was a problem that needed to be solved. "It is worth spending the resources to get the vast majority of the vote counted within 48 hours. Right now, the system is eroding trust and spawning conspiracy theories," he wrote on X.
