Donald Trump orders navy to "shoot and kill" mine-laying boats in Strait of Hormuz
U.S. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that he has ordered the U.S. Navy to "shoot and kill" any Iranian boat laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz. "There needs to be no hesitation," he added before announcing that the U.S. mine sweepers were already clearing the strait. " I am hereby ordering that activity to continue, but at a tripled-up level!" President Trump wrote. He also claimed that 159 such boats were at the bottom of the sea. This comes after President Trump extended the ceasefire between the two countries, claiming that Iran's fractured leadership needed more time to come up with a proposal.
In a subsequent post, Trump claimed that Tehran had no idea who its leader was, thanks to "infighting" between "hardliners" and "moderates." He also claimed that the U.S. had control over the Strait of Hormuz thanks to its naval blockade. "No ship can enter or leave without the approval of the United States Navy. It is “Sealed up Tight,” until such time as Iran is able to make a DEAL!!!" he added.
