Comedian Jon Stewart spots a mind-blowing glimpse of a "Dummy Trump"

Comedian/late-night host Jon Stewart on Monday spotted something highly unusual during a press interview of President Donald Trump at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, U.S., after the FIFA World Cup Finals. As the president hailed the tournament as the greatest soccer event in history, Stewart caught a glimpse of a man walking behind Trump who looked an awful lot like him with the same suit, hair, build, and stature. As the comedian focused on the man, he questioned if he was a body double of Trump, flying around with him. 

Arriving at the base after the finals, Trump spoke with the media, praising the event. “I thought FIFA was incredible. There has never been anything like it, probably in terms of an event, let alone soccer or football or whatever you want to call it. It was four times greater than any FIFA ever held, and it’s probably about five times actually,” the president said. Stewart started with shredding Trump's words and eventually stopped to take a look at what was happening in the background during his Monday night segment. 

Stewart paused and requested a rewind of the clip as he wanted to show something to the audience. "Wait, what's up with the guy behind Trump?" he said as he played the clip back. Stewart then pointed out that a man in the background was dressed exactly like Trump, had the same hair, same height, same stature, and he even walked just like the president. "Who in the world is this guy? Oh my God! Is that a back-up Trump?" the comedian exclaimed. 

In sheer panic, Stewart went on to break down what was in front of him. "Wait a second! Is that a back-up or is that Trump? Wait? Is the one we've been dealing with the back-up Trump?" he said with his head in his hands. Turns out, the video wasn't edited or morphed, as the original version carried by various media outlets, including Fox, also featured the same person in the background who looked exactly like the president. 

The discovery came as in recent weeks, there has been heightened concern over Iran attempting to assassinate the U.S. President. Earlier this month, the Wall Street Journal reported that Israel shared intelligence with the U.S. indicating Iran was devising a plan to kill Trump. The development came on the heels of a security decision to have the president leave the NATO summit in Turkey on the old Air Force One, which reportedly had more protective gear. The development followed days of traded strikes between the U.S. and Iran, and Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's burial ceremony, where banners vowing revenge against Trump were in full display, the New York Post reported.

Furthermore, just in the last week, the Justice Department shared that three men were arrested for allegedly threatening to kill the president or his family members, warranting a strict crackdown on threats against public officials, Forbes reported. However, there is no official report on Trump using a body double or a backup as a buffer against the threats.
