'Bottom's about to touch the toilet seat': Dr. Oz nearly loses his step while demonstrating squats
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz became the latest addition from the Trump administration to upload a fitness video of his own, sharing a nearly 90-second video on ways to keep your arteries flexible and your heart healthy. "One of the best ways of taking care of your heart this summer is to get out and walk briskly. If you can do that, you'll do something very interesting besides strengthening your heart muscle. You don't want the arteries rigid. You want them malleable," he says in the video.

In the video, the 66-year-old advised on the benefits of brisk walking, then gave a pro tip by demonstrating proper squat form before moving on to pull-ups to open up the shoulders and strengthen the core, with the ultimate aim of keeping the body agile. But there is a brief moment when he appears to slip a little as he returns to his standing form after a squat, all while talking into the camera. "These big muscles are so powerful that if the heart has to pump blood to those muscles, it'll increase its cardiac output," he asserts.

The host of 'The Dr. Oz Show', which ran for 13 seasons, recommended doing 10 squats every few minutes while walking to pump blood to the brain, the kidneys, and the heart. "Whatever you can do to open yourself up a little bit will help. The key is to get out and move briskly this summer. We can do it at a fast pace. Your heart will love you." Oz is not the first official from the Trump cabinet to upload a fitness video of themselves.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently invited ridicule after he struggled to bench press in front of U.S. soldiers during a trip to Guantanamo Bay. In the clip, Hegseth was not able to lift the weight, despite a soldier spotting him from behind. Hegseth's trip to Guantanamo Bay came amid heightened tensions with Cuba, as the base serves as a focal point for U.S. security in the Caribbean region.
But Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is the most prolific among Cabinet members to regularly upload videos of himself working out and dishing out fitness advice. His most infamous video is the one with Kid Rock in February this year. The 90-second video begins with Kennedy and Kid Rock posing shirtless, before the words "Secretary Kennedy and Kid Rock's ROCK OUT WORK OUT" flash across the screen, cutting to a montage of the two of them eating, sitting in a car, and holding a U.S. flag before their workouts.
The 72-year-old uploaded the video with this caption: "I've teamed up with @KidRock to deliver two simple messages to the American people: GET ACTIVE + EAT REAL FOOD." They end up in a sauna after the workout, where they each use a stationary bike machine and do push-ups. Kennedy is also seen submerging himself in a tub while wearing jeans at one point.
