“Self-transcendence: In his later years, Maslow explored a further dimension of needs, while criticizing his own vision on self-actualization. The self only finds its actualization in giving itself to some higher goal outside oneself, in altruism and spirituality.” <-- THE ROYAL SOCIETY πŸ™‚

That’s a tuff one Jaz – you need to care for yourself before you can help others – you come first ok – and it’s not selfish

I noticed the other night, the Dahlia Lama is so intelligent, he has a hard time explaining everything because he’s so deep and vast in thought. Sometimes its hard to conceptualize things at that level.

Allow yourself to feel uncomfortable. That’s that only way you can change for the better…or worse. You can choose how to deal with feeling uncomfortable

This is my story. I’m not a victim. I never have been and I never will be. As uncomfortable it is for some to hear about rape…it needs to be talked about. It happened. If it was a car crash.. Or if I was robbed.. No one would blink an eye talking about it. So as uncomfortable it may be for some to hear about or talk about Rape…for me it happend to me I need to talk about it. I need to tell my story because it needs to change how people of sexual assault are treated by the people who you’re supposed to trust (the police) secondly.. How people talk about it

I’m so sorry you have to go through this and Yes it’s totally uncomfortable and if that’s what you need to move on….sometimes it takes a long time to forgive and move on…but you can do it you have to for you.. it wasn’t you it’s their sickness I was raped at 15 still have nightmares and anger…I just pray and ask the Lord to heal me for me and my family because if I’m not right neither are they……it was his sickness not mine I’m the victim… I can stay a victim or enjoy the precious things that make me… me. I’m here if you ever need to talk or vent scream cry whatever…I pray God will comfort you and take this away quickly…do for you not them!

I am not really sure how to respond. I was raped very recently infact. I too have PTSD. I said no. I didn’t ask for it. But it doesn’t change the fact that it did happen. In order for me to heal..I have to feel uncomfortable. In order for me to press charges… I had to feel uncomfortable. In order to grow and in order to face my fears I have to feel uncomfortable first. Then and only then I can confront and feel the feeling of being uncomfortable. After I have dealt with it I can truly say that I can move on.
