@jameswelsh7036 I am from the South. I have always said that, still do, and I am a grandmother. My dad even still says that to anyone, any age, he meets. When a person says it to me, irregardless of how they are dressed, or look, my first impression is that the person was taught to be respectful, and I am instantly more relaxed and feel safer in that person’s presence.
