    What’s Your Definition Of Success?

We all strive for the utopia of success in our lives. Individually, we determine what represents such success in our minds.

Many, if not most people, use materialism as a yardstick for defining success. Some people go beyond materialism and look to their relationships with themselves and others to determine their aimed for success targets to be attained. Certain people use their relationship to their religion or their spirituality as their measure of success. For people suffering in poor health, success may be defined as regaining a part or all of their previous good health.

In all these circumstances attaining success should also make the people involved achieve a level of happiness too. How long that emotional feeling of happiness lasts can be used as a gauge to measure the deeper meaning of that success attainment.

I would like you to contemplate a definition of success that is called “inner integrity”. I learned about inner integrity in reading Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts.

Shakespeare taught us “To thine own self be true”. Inner integrity has no grey areas. You either attain and retain inner integrity or you don’t. If you believe as I do that our soul is a part of a Higher Power and that our soul is eternal and immortal, as is our Higher Power, then your accountability and responsibility is to your soul and, in turn, to your Higher Power.

Your soul and your Higher Power see everything and know everything you think, say and do. You may pull the wool over the eyes of mere mortals but never over your soul and your Higher Power. All is seen, all is recorded, and the Law of Cause and Effect or Karma flows from those thoughts, words, and actions. Choosing to attain and retain inner integrity and ” to thine own self be true” is, in my view, the epitome of success.

At the end of each day, as you brush your teeth before going to bed, you must be able to look at yourself in the mirror in the privacy of your bathroom and say “As a human being I did my best today”.

Inner integrity will always be the softest pillow for the best night’s sleep and during your waking hours armed with such inner integrity you can walk anywhere with your head held high, unafraid of anything and anyone.

The door opening to inner integrity has a latch on the inside of the door which only you can open and enter. Inner integrity can never be bought or sold or swapped for anything else.

Inner integrity comes from knowing that you have done the best that you can do whatever the circumstances and that you have left no stone unturned to be as close to your perception of your Higher Being’s behaviour as possible in all your thoughts, words, and actions.

With such inner security and peace of mind, long-lasting success is assured and with it bliss which is the utopian emotional well- being available to you.

My free book Becoming Blissful found on personalempowerment.co will show you the way.
