    • This is excellent advice and I am definitely going to use this

    • Great steps! Thanks Jack!

    • Very inspirational and uplifting and definitely will follow this❤️

    • This article is excellent, one I think most important is taking responsibility and stop blaming others or circumstances for where you are. Goal setting is extremely important, at 60 I set a goal to complete my BSN, MHA and finally MSN, and had I not set those goals in 2004 I would not have achieved them. Another goal was to prepare and ask God to direct me to how he could use me after I retired and keeping that goal on my prayer list came to fruition in 2015. It is critical to know who you are and what you want most in life, and then believe in yourself and that you can achieve your goals. I believe God has a purpose for everyone, and when we know ourselves and identify what our gifts and talents are and then ask God how direct you toward using them toward his plan to serve and be of real help to others you will find as you move forward which life is a neverending journey of learning we find our life purposeful and find our peace and contentment as we fulfill our purpose.

    • This is so true but something are hard to get trough mine is the loss of my husband of 42 years. It’s been a year and I’m still having a hard time.

    • This is such an amazing article. I really need to incorporate these steps..Thanks so much!

    • Absolutely wonderful article! I loved the way you broke this down; very easy to follow and understand, My favorite is “6. Become an Inverse Paranoid”. Thank you!

    • It's so interesting to me because I'm currently.going through a transformation, myself. Over the past year, since my divorce, my life has taken some crazy turns. It's bizarre because once I started thinking positively, it felt like things were just falling into my lap. Don't get me wrong, people weren't handing me dollar bills or offering me a job in Hollywood, but things were happening in such a weird way that I felt like I was willing it to happen. I actually thought someone was solely responsible for making these things happen, like I was being punked. Lol I kept waiting for more great and exciting things to happen, and guess what? They keep happening. The more positive you are, the more good vibes that you generate. When you give happiness, love, and joy to the world and look for it, it appears. It comes back to you. It comes back in strange forms, though; so don't expect a million dollars to be handed to you. It comes in small subtle ways that you have to notice. Keep walking through doors and they'll lead you to another. Always move forward and do things that you're scared to do. The key to each new door is to do the scariest thing that comes to mind. It will lead you to the next door. Facing fears that you may not have even realized you had gives you a crazy rush of new found freedom. Our minds have the keys to every door. It's just a matter of finding the right key. Breaking through the barriers within ourselves will take us to our desires. It's a matter of mindset. I'm still on my journey. In fact, I'm just beginning, but I'm enjoying every second of it.

    • Thanks Jack for your powerful advice. This is true that one must one has to be determined to make the dreams desires and the goals vome true. This is not an easy job for some people who were the acute victims of the rude society but I can say that those worst chspters of life is about to close as a new begining is awaiting…..The person who had fought for the rights of her child and could complete her mission, is anew person now with more confidence courage and fearless ready for a different battle . This battle will be for herself to estsblish herself on her own come what may..

She is preparing herself each day with each step and progressing… The old chapters are closing…no worry no regrets no more looking back….now will face and fight the most hardest and difficult battle , standing slone sgainst all odds….I wish her victory and all the best for her life…

I hope even others will pray for her victory… thanks once again for your motivations…

    • Excellent take responsibility, be the best of the best you, Thankyou

    • Attitude adjustments. On a nice summer day in 1994 I was sitting on the front porch my daughter came out the door and asked me if I wanted to go jogging with her. At the time I was a smoker so I declined. That really got to me. Two doctors suggested I quit smoking and start exercising. Those were my New Years Resolutions. New Year's day would come and go and so would my resolutions. This time I tried something different. I started my New Years resolution at the beginning of December. I picked a day to quit smoking. Friday on the way to work I smoked my last cigarette. I got up Saturday morning, ate breakfast then headed out the door. I kept busy, chewed a lot of sugarless gum, and drank lots of water, The urges to smoke were overwhelming. I resisted the nicotine waves and looked at it as the nicotine demons trying to leave my body so I helped them along. After 3 says I was free of the habit. I suddenly felt like I had a lot more extra time. Smoking takes up a lot of your time. Write down everything associated with your smoking and you may end up smoking less . As the days passed I became restless as blood vessel began opening up giving me a tingling sensation. On the 28th of December, I signed up at a local gym. After 10 days of going to the gym is when I really felt the difference. At first, I thought I had hurt myself but what I actually did was realign my posture which made a world of a difference. With my new lifestyle, I did more bike riding, bought season passes at the local pool, took up jogging and invested in a Border Collie. Life learning lesson, a healthy lifestyle has its rewards waiting for you

    • I love this! Especially owning every aspect of your life. If you nothing else, the task of finding some sense of gratitude for each postive AND negative chapter.

    • Excellent article full of truth! Thank you Mr. Canfield for sharing with us! I took notes! 👍😊

As I read your article I remembered events along my path of life. Sometimes the real lesson is not what you are focused on, but what slips in along the way. Those are the best lessons!

Success is not always the same as reaching your goals, is it!

Wishing you all the best in success and also the lessons best for you.

    • Thank you kindly Sir for your incredible advice!!! Beauty, love, happiness and every other wonder in this world, in our universe is reflected in our eyes. The eyes are the mirror of our souls but also the mirror of the answers we are all seeking. Only a glimpse around can prove eternity. We just have to look and be forever mesmerized by the miraculous Creation!!! Breathing and feeling a tingling sensation of extraordinaire energy. Your thoughts, need to be fully understood and mystical, deep concentration, skepticism, in order to achieve the unreachable dream!!! You bring great honor and forceful light to the world, our souls and hearts!!!

    • I LOVE the synchronocity of this article as my last few days have been filled with self-motivation by following EVERY one of my tasks at hand (at becoming a better me) with, “NO ONE ELSE WILL!” For example, “Take responsibility for your actions/reactions/decisions(etc), because NO ONE ELSE WILL, Fatima!” On this journey of taking responsibility for all that has gone on in life, I've realized that self acceptance and self worth has led us to where we are… the lesser the self worth, the lesser the success level(in EVERY field of life) and vice versa. In the end, it is ALWAYS what we think and how we think of ourselves that will guarantee our level of success. It's ALL YOU… ALWAYS!

    • thank you for your excellent article which is very helpful and benificial to follow all the steps mentioned and to my experience i find it important to programme our confidence andfeei our own security to take control of our lives and purposes more over to stop listen tothe voices in our minds that say you can't and start listening to the one that says you can

    • About point 7. of the article: Setting goals. Yes, it's right. And i would further say: Set one goal and think day and night of it. Meditate once a day about it. Or pray also once a day to achieve it. Of course it's harder to do this every day and night when you have family, work, so another responsabilities and fellow men, who need something from you with their questions, requests etc. But keep trying. And remain humble within you. And thankful, that you are alive. And try to realize, what pulls you down: are some people in your life, who are false? Are some habitudes of you, like too much in social networks 🙂 involved or whatever? Be honest to yourself.
And: Even you're trying to achieve a goal, don't forget to remain in balance with yourself. That means, hear of what your body wants to tell you. Or your soul. (For example: If you're looking all the time on the watch, to do things faster, that's not good, causes stres, so let your watch not all the time at your arm but in the neighbourhood). Try to orientate yourself looking outside, if you can. (“Oh, i have plenty of time to do this and that until it's dark outside”). Try to follow your inner compass.
Have a day full of buds :), dear author and Readers,
      your burstofbuds.

    • I rely loved the write up it was rely for me, I get confused sometimes and I don't even know what I want. I guess I need self confidence and to also believe in my self, thanks.

    • I absolutely enjoyed this article, especially the part of taking ownership of our own mishaps and to be responsible for making the changes you need to in your life. We are the only who can truly control who we are and what we choose to become. Reading this puts everything into prospection.

    • thank you for your beautiful advice in this article which i should follow to achieve success happiness and self satisfaction all the steps are needed to attend a wonderful life and tio believe in oue selves

    • Thank you very much fo the nice article, it was inspiring and motivating, goal setting for material things in not difficult, I have done that frequently, but spiritual development is very different.

    • This is a very helpful article. Because I know and practice some, I couldn't see the block. Well, I can see a few steps here that I trip on, the biggest one being number 6. Supporting others can be very time consuming and when it is not reciprocated it feels defeating. I am totally doing that to myself. Share out of the pure love of doing so and keep moving forward even if no one is watching. Eventually they will and all that work will not go to waste. I really needed this ah-ha.

    • All those things sound good in theory , but in practice, it’s not always possible. Not everyone has the capacity to make what they want to happen come to fruition. Maybe it’s a flaw in our techniques, I don’t know. Persistence, determination, assertion and patience can go along way to being successful, but it can take a lot of strength over time, to keep going. The advice here is good, it’s helpful, it’s better to apply this positivity than not to. We can try, at least, then we know we didn’t just sit back and allow ourselves to sink into oblivion without a fight to prevent it. I appreciate any help I can get. It’s a good and positive article. It’s amazing that people take the time out of their lives to help others find ways to improve their lives, and cope better with daily life. Thank you for this. It’s always worth paying attention to useful words of encouragement. I’ve read it, I’m interested in working through the stages. Who knows, I might even succeed. It’s a good confidence builder, to overcome struggles and obstacles victoriously. I’ve got lousy neighbours, and many other negative battles to fight off. They need to go!
