The Science Fiction Peace Foundation received its official charter from the International Goodwill Treaty Project on April of 2008. Biographical Information Ms. Davis owns and operates DAVISCommunications in Connecticut. She has nineteen (19) years' experience in marketing, public, government, community relations, and event planning. She has nine (9) years experience in professional training and leadership development. Having traveled to 52 countries, she has grown her firm to be recognized in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
She is an expert on communication theory and application, coaching and executive training. A specialist in public affairs and media campaigns, she creates, manages, implements statewide and national community and social marketing and outreach initiatives designed to educate and impact behavior. She has been in charge of constituency-building on the national level for women's issues, small business, welfare reform, faith based, minority issues, immigration, HIV/AIDS and International trade in developing countries.
Ms. Davis is a doctoral candidate for the Thierry Graduate School of Leadership in Brussels, Belgium. She has an M.S. in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. She has a B.A. in Mass Communications and Political Science from the University of Hartford (Magna Cum Laude). Ms. Davis studies Italian at the Sorrento Lingue in Sorrento, Italy. She has a private tutor year round in the states. Ms. Davis completed a Masters Class at the John F. Kennedy School of Government Executive Leadership Program at Harvard University – The Art and Practice of Leadership. Ms. Davis led an academic round table discussion at the Global Women's Leadership Conference in Dubai, UAE. Ms. Davis is an adjunct Professor at the University of Hartford. She teaches Political Leadership.
Ms. Davis is the author of numerous training manuals for her client audiences. Ms. Davis has won several business awards, journalism awards (best feature writer and investigative reporter, and is an internationally recognized Poet in Europe).
She is a freelance writer for an elite travel magazine called Odyssey Couleur. She has freelanced for the Hartford Advocate, Hartford Courant and New Haven Register. Her hard hitting Op-ed pieces have debut in the top newspapers, wire services and online blogs in the United States. Her writings have been featured in China, Southeast Asia and all over the Middle East.
She has been featured in several magazines (Russian Magazine) and newspapers (New York Times, Jerusalem Post, Palestinian Times, Black Enterprise Magazine, New Century Newspaper in Uzbekistan); to recently include Hartford Magazine and her Alma mater magazines at the University of Connecticut and the University of Hartford.
She serves as a lecturer on American presidential politics, the electoral process, media and crisis communications, women empowerment and business, leadership and business ethics, negotiation and conflict resolution, collaborative problem solving and conflict resolution. She travels on official business to help promote American diplomacy for the U.S. Department of State. She has served as surrogate spokesperson for the White House. She is also a political analyst for radio and television. She was recognized by the Embassy of Tel Aviv and the Consulate of Jerusalem for furthering public diplomacy efforts between Israeli and Palestinian women.
Ms. Davis was responsible for planning, organizing and executing a major trade mission to Senegal, Mali, Ghana, Cote D'Ivoire and Nigeria on behalf of President Bush for former Congressional Leader J.C. Watts, Jr. This trade mission was in support of Africa Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA).
Appointed by Governor M. Jodi Rell for the State of Connecticut, Ms. Davis is a Commissioner for the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women. She is on the board of directors for the World Affairs Council in Connecticut. She served as an appointee by George W. Bush to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
